Knitting for ADAS

There will be lots of activity in the village leading up to our Britain in Bloom judging day, currently set for 01 August.

One job is to wash down this tired looking post box at the bottom of Windmill Drive, which I shall tackle at the end of this month, which leads me nicely into the knitting query.

Are there any keen knitters out there who could get a 'hat' knitted to sit atop this box once I've scrubbed it clean? It could be anything of your choosing -- but if I were allowed a preference, it would be for a lovely octopus sitting on it, with its tentacles hanging down. Or, in keeping with the floral theme, maybe something flowery. I have masses of wool (see husband's eyes roll) that I can donate for this project.
