Keele University: what happened to its revolutionary ideas?

Audlem History Society's October talk is by Professor Watson Fuller, former Deputy Vice Chancellor on 'Keele University: what happened to its revolutionary ideas?'

Professor Fuller, over his long experience of Keele, knew many of the 'community of scholars' who shaped a pioneering institution framed to serve North Staffs and the Potteries, and which owed much in its formation to the Christian Socialists.

He will combine a challenging account of influential personalities with behavioural detail – as when students in the 1970's "took their clothes off because they felt too hot." (Daily Telegraph)

The talk is on Thursday October 16th, 7.15 for 7.30pm at the Scout and Guide Hall, Cheshire Street, Audlem.

All welcome – £3.00 visitor admission includes tea/coffee.
