Many regular readers will have read the regular news stories Audlem Online has been running on the JiggleJOGLE trio cycling from John O'Groats to Land's End (JOGLE).

The ride is in memory of John Crompton, who was heavily involved with Audlem Methodist Church and directed several of the popular musical productions which take place there each year.

In April 2007, John died very suddenly from a rare form of Leukaemia. Three years on, his two sons Ben and Barnaby, along with Ben's girlfriend Emily have set out to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research in their Father's memory.

Their challenge has been to cycle from John O'Groats to Land's End, a truly amazing feat which began at John O'Groats on 26th July where they were sent on their way live on the Chris Evans BBC Radio 2 morning show.

The excellent news is that they have completed the ride successfully. This is what Emily had to say on their blog dated 21st August: "So, the end is here. As we cycled from St. Ives garden centre (where we got to the previous day) everyone was there for photos before our final lap. I felt incredibly giddy and excited!

"We cycled to Land's End, up and down the horrible hills. Only a short stint of 18 miles. Colin decided to join us for the last day but left as we went to Sennen Cove to see John's memorial bench. We took a video and waited so we got into Land's End at midday.

"What a welcome! Champagne, balloons, banner, party poppers, silly string, the lot! Ben and I were in floods of tears! My Dad and Jenny were there as well as loads of Ben and Barn's family including Uncle David and co! What a lovely surprise!

"Anyway it was amazing. An amazing day. I can't believe it's over now. I will admit it... I am sad. And I miss cycling already! Nearly 6,000 pounds later and a very sore bum, it was all worth it.!"

The trio passed through Audlem two weeks ago where they received a very warm welcome, as you can see from the photos.

Audlem Online congratulates the trio on their great achievement. If you would like to support their commendable effort to raise money for such an important charity, please visit their JustGiving page by clicking here" rel="nofollow">clicking here.
