Partnership Officer

Due to internal progress and team growth we are seeking a high-calibre, energetic Partnership Officer -- Cheshire East (fixed-term 12 month contract)

Job details:

Job purpose:- to represent Active Cheshire within the East of Cheshire, raising the profile of our work and the value of our mission through the development of win-win partnerships.

This will involve proactive engagement of whole-system partners to play an active role in tackling inactivity and driving up participation in a sustainable manner. You will be expected to develop/influence plans locally, identify and share best practice, advocate and promote the impact of our work locally, and ensure accurate and robust recording and reporting of all work.

Accountable for:_ income target, delivery of local programmes, and at least one sub-regional work area.

Skills/Experience required:-

• Exceptional organisational and customer service skills
• Contract and relationship management
• Confident communicator
• Securing income and raising funds
• Planning and problem-solving skills

Sadly our physical activity habits as humans have changed. Our lives have become far less active in recent years which has a direct impact on our physical health, mental health and wider wellbeing. For some, regular movement is an embedded habit, but with more than 166,000 adults categorised as physically inactive locally, it's clear that many don't have the time, inclination or ability to change without help. We need to find new, more creative ways to encourage active lifestyles.

At Active Cheshire, we work alongside a wide range of partners involved in the design and delivery of physical activity and sport. Our work is less 'hands on' and more about understanding people and how we might encourage a change in their physical behaviour and habits. So, we are not the girls in the tracksuits or the guys in lycra ... we're the ones learning about what motivates people and the affect that place has on lifestyle habits. We are the team encouraging small changes to your daily routine -- walking the long way-round, taking the stairs, sitting less. Because we believe that for the least active people, small steps can deliver big impact.
