After All It is Christmas

Here we go again
Buying with a frenzy
Spend, Spend, Spend.

Never mind, what use is money anyway
If it is not to be spent

This is when -
Children of all ages
Are being extra good,
Hoping Father Christmas
Will grant their wishes.

But wishes need to be paid for
By those who love them.
Family, kith and kin.
So we pull out all the strops
Because -
If it were not for us
They would not be here!
Therefore, let us celebrate together and enjoy.
After all, it is Christmas!

This is the time when Jesus was born
A gift from God
Our Saviour, our Lord
Let us not forget -
And give thanks
