Andrew and Lynne Smith write from Audlem Post Office: "One of our most popular village posties, Jenny Collis-Smith has decided to hang up her bicycle clips after over 21 years of loyal service at Audlem Post Office.

"Her cheerful nature has endeared her to work colleagues and customers alike and she has always carried out her duties with pride and enthusiasm – a worthy ambassador for Royal Mail.

"A talented musician, she has been a true "female multi-tasker", combining her postal work with her position as church organist and on many occasions she has been seen pedalling furiously back to the village to fulfil her duty at funerals and weddings!

"Jenny has forged many friendships on her delivery round covering the Buerton area and she admits the decision to retire did not come easily. However, after pedalling her bicycle for over 60,000 miles in all weather conditions, who can deny Jenny some well deserved rest and relaxation?

"Well done Jenny and a happy retirement from all at Audlem Post Office."
