Jenny Monk

We are sad to report that Jenny Monk passed away on 24th April at her son's home in West Sussex.

Jenny and her husband Bob lived in Audlem from 1970 to 2008. Firstly in Gemmull Close, then Daisy Bank Crescent and finally in Cheshire Street.

Jenny loved the community 'feel' in Audlem and all the wonderful and varied characters who lived here. She enjoyed the simple and natural things in life, especially the nature around the village.

She and Bob actively supported and helped out with local fund raising activities including those for the Public Hall and the Scout & Guide Hall when it opened. Jenny was an enthusiastic member of the tennis club, a keen golfer and, latterly, boules player.

Jenny will be much missed by her children, Rachael and Andrew, her four grandsons and her many friends in Audlem and elsewhere.
