Peter Morgan writes: "Last night, a gathering of twenty five, mainly Salford, Woore Road and Sandy Lane residents on Jenny's post round, got together at Pentre House and made a presentation to her in recognition of the excellent service she has given them over more than two decades. Her smiling face, cheerful disposition and bag of dog biscuits has brightened up many a day for two and four legged friends alike.

"Jenny was presented with a cheque for £285, a basket of flowers arranged by Anne Poole, and a scroll recording the grateful thanks of all those who had contributed and wishing her well in retirement."
