This particular bird has been around this area for over three years now.
When it first appeared it used to regularly wait on the wall by my back door until I went out and feed it. About 2 years ago I changed the position of a bird table on the corner of School Lane and it moved it's feeding / living area to where it is now.
These birds are relatively rare but quite common to other areas throughout the country. It is a genetic thing,
I recall seeing the first one here about five years ago but it was only the head on that one that was white, possibly this one is an off-spring.
It shows that these birds are very territorial.
The second photo was taken in Ken's garden in Buerton in July 2016.
Cosmo "We have one here in Buerton. Visits our bird table on a regular basis."
Sward "We call him Dandybird. I have a video of him. There is also a pied jackdaw, with less conspicuous colouring, who inhabits the Churchyard."
