In praise of Cheshire East

It's not often we get stories praising Cheshire East, so here is one worth reporting.

Recently, a heavy vehicle drove over the kerbing on the corner of Witton Close and Heathfield Road leaving two heavy kerbing stones on their side in the road, a dangerous hazard for pedestrians and vehicles.

A local resident reported it to Cheshire East Highways Department and, within a day or so, a repair crew had lifted the kerbing off the road and onto the grass verge.

Within a further few days the kerbing had been reset in its original position.

Well done to the Highways Department at Cheshire East.
