AudlemOnline received the following message from the Food and Waste campaigner and, as we rarely receive direct emails from such well-known celebrities, we are happy to pass on his message:

Hugh's War on Waste: The Battle Continues

First of all I want to say a massive Thank You for being one of the 304,655 (and counting) supporters, who signed up to my pledge to force our biggest supermarkets to tackle the massive food waste issue I investigated in the first two episodes of my War on Waste last year.

Since we got together to put pressure on these retail giants, some amazing things have happened, and you can find out exactly how things have changed by tuning in to my latest programme (on Thursday night):

This time as well as tackling the food waste issue, I'm also looking at some other equally shocking piles of waste: the mountains of over the top packaging that our online shopping comes with, and a coffee cup recycling scandal that most of us never even knew existed.

Once again I'll be asking for your help to force some of Britain's biggest brands to mend their ways. Because when we all work together, big changes can happen!

If you want to keep making a difference, this time by challenging the High Street coffee giants to deal with their waste crisis.

Thanks again
Hugh
