A reminder that tomorrow (Thursday 15th March) at 7.30pm in the Scout and Guide Hall, Cheshire St. Audlem, the History Society are looking forward to hearing Pam Sambrook, a well known North Staffordshire Historian, talk about the lives of some of the servants who worked at Trentham Hall (where Trentham Gardens is now) in the 1830's. This was the subject of her latest book, a previous one covered the history of the Staffordshire Oatcake.
Members, students and schoolchildren free, visitors £3. Refreshments provided
Advance announcement: the speaker booked for April is unable to be with us, so well known local man, Ian Jones has kindly stepped in with a talk about a relative of his who got involved in the Gold rush in Canada.
