Bob Vass, Rural Housing Enabler for Crewe & Nantwich Borough Council, has written to Audlem Online to encourage people to fill in the housing needs survey which should have arrived in all households in the Audlem Ward this week.

He writes: "The results of this survey will go a long way to establish how many people in the Ward are in need of affordable housing and what type of housing is needed. What it doesn't mean is that the Borough Council is about to embark on a huge scheme of house building in your community. However, a number of very small sites are in the process of being evaluated.

"It is hoped that affordable housing in your area will be provided for local people, particularly young people and this is to help them to afford to remain in and continue to contribute to the community.

"The more completed forms that are sent back, the more accurate the picture of the situation. The closing date for the return of the forms is the 7th December. Please ensure that the form for your household is filled in and returned."

Please do your best to help in this survey of housing needs. It is important – and a pre-paid envelope has been provided so it won't cost you anything to take part.
