On Wednesday 2nd May, Combermere Abbey are once more hosting a Home & Garden Event organized by Sally Jones Fairs which will support the fundraising efforts of ‘Save the Children’ Borders Committee.

The Fair, kindly sponsored by The Brownlow Furniture Company will take place between 10am and 4pm. Entry includes a glass of Free Summer Punch.

It’s a perfect opportunity to spend time with friends in the glorious gardens of Combermere Abbey, and enjoy some serious retail therapy, courtesy of quality interiors, soft furnishings, kitchenware, clothing, accessories and jewellery specialists.

Retailers’ stands will be set out in the Abbey’s Walled Gardens and its elegant Pavilion. As well as The Brownlow Furniture company which specialises in bespoke furniture for kitchens and bathrooms, stands include The Cashmere Garden , Indigo Boo’s velvet coats, handbags from The Little Pea Green Boat Company, original art by Chloe Holt, Ella’s Kitchen, Samba Jewellery and Sandra Harris Interiors.

There will also be plants and stylish garden accessories from Jo Weaver Plants and Planters and Andy’s Plants, for the green-fingered shopper.

Take a break and enjoy fabulous refreshments, from coffee and tea with home-made cakes to a delicious lunch created by Sophie Fearnall Catering in The Glasshouse Café.  The menu offers a range of delicious dishes created from local foods, and a selection of fresh pressed juice from the Abbey’s own Maze fruit to a glass of wine.

Meander through the gardens with the world’s only fruit tree maze, an espaliered labyrinth of redcurrants, gooseberries and over 25 varieties of apple and pear trees and the Geometric garden full of delightful hidden corners.

This fun event will raise important funds for ‘Save the Children’ who work in over 120 countries, including the UK, saving children’s lives, fighting for their rights and helping them to fulfill their potential.

In England alone, an incredible 3m, of the total 11m, children are currently living in poverty, giving rise to the need for nutritional, educational and healthcare support. From every £1 raised by the charity, 86p goes to the children themselves.

Tickets are £5 available on the day. Pre-booked tickets are £4 (call Sally Jones on 07774 724 630) (Children are free entry)
