History Society Talk on Thursday

This Thursday – 7.15 for 7.30pm in the Scout and Guide Hall – Tony Lancaster will show the story of Madeley Past and Present.

Tony, before retirement a senior lecturer at the former Madeley College and what is now Staffordshire University, has recently had published a successful book on Audley, and his Madeley Through Time is selling well.

Copies will be available at the meeting (£14.99 ). His pictures will show how this nearby North Staffordshire village with its long history both medieval and industrial has (not always) changed over the centuries.

Visitors are always welcome – £3.00 including refreshments.
