We had another packed meeting Thursday night to hear an excellent talk on Reginald Mitchell and the Spitfire. Many of the audience shared their experiences connected with aeroplanes and the war. This was the last talk of the year, there is now only the christmas dinner to enjoy!

If people are looking for ideas for Christmas presents, Pam Sambrook has brought out a book on the history of the Staffordshire oatcake costing £7 and Paul Anderton who has often spoken to our society is launching his new book contributing to the history of Whitchurch on Tues Nov 24.

Finally, if you want to know what talks are planned for 2010 click on the events calendar on this website.
