A big thank you to all those who brought items to show us, talked about your memories and helped complete the lists of names on photos. I shall be working on the new information for sometime after the History Event at Corbrook this weekend.

I was particularly struck by memories of Audlem County Secondary school – Mr Nick Parry, who taught there 1961 -64, brought pictures of intrepid mountaineers and rock climbers including Linda Davenport, Mary Langley, Irene Shore, Leon Perry, Leslie Tew, ? Salmon, P. Cudny, Cecil Brookshaw, Ann Heath, Leonard Meredith, Michael Parker. Are they still around?

Staff he mentioned were Mr Parsonage the headmaster, Miss Christian, deputy head, Mr Ellis, Mr Benson, Miss Knight.

Albert Griffiths brought his school reports and remembered Mr Coffin, the earlier head, Mr Griffith, Mr Doody and Miss Phipps.

Items brought ranged from directories and letters, old newspapers, photos and family trees – including one for the Pidducks who were at Corbrook for over 30 years, we think.

This event was organised by Corbrook Country estate so had a Corbrook/ Hankelow theme but we hope to hold another one in the near future so don't throw anything away that might be of interest. Please write down those memories of amusing incidents before they are forgotten.
Thanks again
