New adaptations service aids independent living

South Cheshire residents can remain safe and independent in their own homes for longer thanks to a team of adaptations specialists.

Platform, a subsidiary of affordable homes provider Wulvern, has launched a new service offering adjustment or alterations to homes that will make daily living tasks easier and safer.

Manager Jason Russell explains:  “Whether it is a minor adaptation such as fitting a grab rail, ramp or lever taps to more extensive installations such as a stair lift or wet floor shower room, our team of specialist installers have expert knowledge and experience in fitting the latest mobility products enabling customers to remain safe and independent in their own homes for as long as possible.”

The team benefits from the support of a fully qualified occupational therapist and will visit you at home to carry out an assessment of your needs.

Jason adds:  “The most simple adaptations can make the world of difference to the resident or carer.”
