Hedgehog Awareness Week.

This year, Hedgehog Awareness Week runs from 6th to 12th May.

Hedgehogs are in SERIOUS decline especially in rural areas and need to be protected....
You can help to prevent this continuing by putting out food and fresh water, meaty cat or dog food, hedgehog food or cat biscuits in the garden for them.

We have successfully fed a hedgehog family in Kinsey Heath for several years (Just look out for hedgehog droppings!!)

Create a hedgehog highway in your area and ask neighbours to make sure there is access through fences and walls.
Support the BHPS; British Hedgehog Preservation Society and ask for further information, leaflets, posters etc.

BHPS Collect amongst many other things, used postage stamps, unopened packs of in date seeds, foreign coins and notes and even SCRAP CARS (yes really!)
