To be strictly accurate, the Heartbreak Hotel is the Shady Oak in Beeston. We don't normally promote gigs outside Audlem but, as half the band are from the village, we make an exception for what promises to be a night to remember. And the star of the show also has local ties – he often ties up his boat outside the Shroppie!

Paul Larcombe, or Pure Presley, is the only UK artiste ever to be officially endorsed by the Elvis Presley Enterprises at Gracelands. Performing all of Elvis's greatest hits, he's backed by a six piece band of professional musicians including well-known Audlem personalities. It's all happening at the Shady Oak at Beeston on Saturday 25th July. The gates open at 6.30pm with the show starting at 9.00pm. Tickets are £12.50 – not cheap, but this is a night you'll never forget!

Either pay on the door or call 01829 730718 for information and bookings.

Pure PresleyPaul Larcombe was among the final ten artists to make it through to the last round of the Ultimate Elvis 2007 competition – the greatest official world tribute artist competition. He says it was an honour to take part and represent the UK.

After Paul's first shock big win in the European finals in Blackpool, beating 64 other contestants from all over the world, he went on to represent the UK & Europe in the Ultimate Elvis contest in Memphis. He sailed through the preliminary rounds where the 24 finalists were reduced down to the final ten, a great achievement in such a prestigious competition in his first year.

Since then, he's performed, solo, for the Queen and other members of the Royal Family on three separate occasions. On Saturday, at Beeston, he can perform for you, helped by a bevy of local Audlem musicians.
