Audlem's St James' Primary School has gained a Healthy Eating award for its balanced and varied menus and its commitment to daily sports activities. The school has seasonal specials with salads in the Spring and home-made soup in the Autumn.
Headteacher Catherine Nolan-Burnitt says: "We took part in demonstrations and local competitions but the award is also about personal and social development and teaching life skills which will help pupils to lead healthy lives."
