Headcase Cancer Trust – charity golf day

On 14th August, 64 players met at Trentham Park Golf Club to play in a charity golf day to raise funds for the Headcase Cancer Trust. This will help them to raise awareness and research into GBM (Glioblastoma Multiforme) for which as yet, there is no cure and as many readers will know, claimed the lives of Anthony Parker, Rick Youle and Steve Fellows.

Everybody had a great day s golf playing on a fantastic course on what turned out to be, a beautifully warm summer s day. As well as the overall team Stableford competition, there were other challenges including longest drive, nearest the pin, beat the pro and a pink ball game.

In the evening, we gathered at The White Lion, Hankelow for a superb buffet and to regale tales of what might have been if only and for the prize giving.
