30 mph speed restrictions are coming to Hankelow – but when?
The new signs are currently part-wrapped in plastic sheets awaiting, we understand, some road markings.
Speed restrictions were a major aim detailed in Hankelow's recent Parish Plan. Residents said they wanted speeds reduced on the A529 through the village and their wish has been granted. Or will be soon, they hope.
Another priority in the Hankelow Parish Plan was a continuous footpath along the A529 between Hankelow and Audlem. At present there is a potentially dangerous gap on the bends at Corbrook with no footpath provision.
