Hankelow joins Europe

Hankelow, recent winners of the Community Spirit award for Cheshire, have elected to join Europe rather than the United States.

Their website used to be found as www.hankelow.net, but recently the American government decided that it has jurisdiction over .net and .com websites. This means that webmasters of such websites are subject to American law.

Given British politicians' craven agreement to extradite British citizens to America on request, the Hankelow webmaster has prudently decided to move the Hankelow website so that it is subject to European Community law.

So henceforth the Hankelow website will be found at www.hankelow.eu

...and the webmaster can sleep easy that any risk has now gone of being whisked off at a moment's notice from his Hankelow home to possibly spend ten years in a high-security American gaol.
