Hankelow Fete

An excellent local event with an able Master of Ceremony (Ian Jones).

Only 1 sharp shower experienced – not sure if anyone asked the Chester Brass Band to play "Raindrops keep falling on my head"!

Plenty of stalls and fairground challenges such as the coconut shy.

Even more food and drink outlets – tea & cakes, burgers and hotdogs, even a beer and wine bar!

There was an excellent childrens choir (Stapeley Broadlane School) early on, and plenty of track events – for example egg and spoon races. These were in age groups – adults were encouraged to join the over 13s events – very competitive!

Final event was a dog show – waggiest tale etc.

All good family fun.
