We have been truly blessed to have been able to undertake such a major refurbishment to the whole building.

This has not only helped to improve worship but also to extend the church's mission into the local community by providing modern, warm and comfortable facilities for everybody's use.

We reopened the church for worship in April 2016 for our Church Anniversary and the Community Hall opened in May for the Hankelow Parish Council AGM, the ADCA Day Club for Older People and as a Polling Station.

We are holding a Celebration Weekend on the 11th & 12th June 2016 when everyone is welcome to see our newly refurbished premises, enjoy coffee and cakes, flowers and music. The chapel will be open on Saturday, 11th June from 10am to 5pm with the official opening at 2.00pm.

On Sunday, 12th June, Rev'd Peter Barber, Chair of the Methodist Service will be leading a thanksgiving service at 10.30am and everyone is welcome. The church will be open until 5.00pm.

The Community Hall is available for bookings by ringing Val Morrey on 01270 811930.

With gratitude we thank our funders who have helped us to raise £107,000 and to achieve the aims of our project:
Cheshire South Methodist Circuit; Chester and Stoke Methodist District; WREN Landfill Communities Fund; Cheshire East Council; The National Churches Trust; The Bernard Sunley Foundation; Hankelow Amenities Group; Hankelow Parish Council; Wulvern Housing; Audlem & District Community Action; Individual Donations and Church Fundraising.

The Refurbishment Project has included:

-a new central heating system throughout the building
-a new side porch into the hall
-a suspended ceiling in the hall with new lighting
-a new and enlarged kitchen and a new disabled toilet
-a replacement roof over the rear part of the building
-improved insulation, including the cavity walls, throughout the building
-new front and side doors and improved disabled access
-provision of audio/visual equipment and broadband facilities
-a more prominent notice board to advertise events
-more comfortable seating for people with disabilities and frailty

We look forward to seeing you at are our opening celebrations.
