Green Lane to be closed 14 August

Cheshire East have notified us that Green Lane will be closed for one day on Sunday 14 August to allow painting of the white lines and repair of cats' eyes.

CHESHIRE EAST BOROUGH COUNCIL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 A529 GREEN LANE, AUDLEM, CREWE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cheshire East Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, issues this notice temporarily to prohibit traffic in the following length of road:- A529 Green Lane, Audlem, Crewe from its junction with A525 Whitchurch Road to the County Border.

The alternative route during the closure will be via: A529, A53, A41, A525 Shropshire Lane & Whitchurch Road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times..Vehicular access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents. The closure is necessary to enable Cheshire East Highways to carry out carriageway white lining replacement & cat’s eye works.

It is anticipated that the works will be carried out on Sunday 14th August 2011 It is also anticipated (weather dependant) that the works will be completed in one day. This notice will become operative on Sunday 14th August 2011 for a period of 21 days or for such less time as is necessary to enable the works to be completed.
