There's two great weekends of entertainment for all ages coming up in Audlem. First, it's Fun-ky Weekend this Saturday and Sunday, two days packed with things to do for the young and young-at-heart. Then, on Sunday 27th, it's Audlem's Festival of Transport.

Fun-ky WeekendFun-ky audlem 08 is on July 19th & 20th with a programme of events and activities. These can be viewed on www.funkyaudlem.co.uk (The website link that was here no longer works) A programme can also be obtained from the information centre at Mckelveys newsagents.

The Fun-Ky Chilli Night is on Saturday 19th July from 6.30pm onwards – so you can stay for your tea after a busy Fun-Ky day. For Under 18s it's £2.00, Over 18 it's £3.00. Book tickets at info@funkyaudlem.co.uk">info@funkyaudlem.co.uk or look on the Fun-ky website for further details. Tickets are NOT free for this Chilli event, but based on last year's response you will need one! And they're limited! In the first instance, please contact Ian or Pete on 812068 & 811330 or Chilli.night@btinternet.com">Chilli.night@btinternet.com

The line-up confirmed so far: Strangers, Storm in a Tea Cup, Fake Heroes, X Academy Performing Arts & Culture Centre – Music and dance.

Apart from the Music & Chilli night on Saturday and TAVA's Alice in Wonderland production on Sunday, ALL other events and activities are FREE!

Festival of Transport

Sunday 27th July is Audlem Festival of Transport with a cavalcade of hundreds of classic vehicles from 1910 to today, including cars, military vehicles, motor cycles and commercials. Over 300 entries have been received by ASET, the Audlem Special Events Team, the Festival organisers.

A highlight will be a fabulous aerial display by the RAF Spitfire from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. There's a hog roast, fairground rides and much else on the playing fields plus all the vehicles to be inspected. It's a great day out in Audlem.
