Following soon after the news of grants awarded to Audlem a day or two ago, the APHAx team have learned that their bid for almost £5000 to furnish and equip the Youth Club rooms in the new Public Hall Annexe has been successful.

The statement accompanying the notification of the grant from Cheshire Community Foundation included

"The grant will be used to purchase equipment and furniture for a Youth Club facility within a new Annexe to a community building as part of a major capital refurbishment project.

The Panel agreed that the youth club was much needed in the rural location of Audlem and that the furnishings were likely to be well used."

The Audlem Youth Club is currently on its summer break after a very successful end-of-term splash bash, but will be resrtarting sessions in the Autumn in the Public Hall. This grant gives the opportunity for planning the scope and activities of the Club when the new Annexe is opened, hopefully in late Spring next year.
