Grand Dinner Dance Cancelled

No -- it is not that a toilet roll cannot be found except filling up many family's store cupboards, nor that suddenly people are washing their hands -- did they not use soap before today?

No. It is with a very heavy heart that I have had to bring to a close the Grand Dinner Dance scheduled for the 21st . A dinner I had been working on for the past six months. Caterers now cancelled. Superb 22 piece band- the Cheshire 20 , cancelled. The inner marquee cancelled. The public hall cancelled. The beer from Winkle Brewery , cancelled. The wines and spirits from our COOP, cancelled. The table cloth and glasses cancelled . And refunds being now made.

A Grand Dinner dance of the same high quality that I have organised in the past and with all surplus funds being shared as a donation to ADCA and ADAS .

I hope to resurrect this grand event in the autumn as the leaves of summer fall and as the virus too falls .

Hey Ho. A sad man am I , for all the 120 sell out guests .

I'll keep all posted as the days and months pass by.
