Gowan go down a storm

It was posted Big music night on Friday. Gowan – two Canadians big in America – safe to say they have really made it and are officially big in Audlem! They can go back with reputation well intact and tell the Douglas's and Beckhams's, the whole of LA – that they have played the Bridge in Audlem and went down a storm!

Audlem produces nights that you will never experience anywhere else and this night ranked up there with the best of them. Yes, the advertised MJ's medley just about slid in there with a vast array of other big artists' hits as well as a few self-penned hits recorded and made famous by others.

These two guys, Terrence Gowan (Tez to his mates – not sure he was all that pleased, but he did smile) and Derek Downham (Deko – similar response!) put together a magical 2+ hour set of sheer performance that had the audience (of all ages) buzzing, the Bridge floorboards awash with dancers as hit after hit just rolled out – only a slight pause for another St wrong bow, (Strongbow will rebrand!)

Difficult to capture in words the early anticipated charged atmosphere, driving in to an evening of 'wow what next' and 'OMG that's superb!'; to a captivated audience joining in with song after song; to a point where duo and crowd merged as one as the gig peeked in a final encore.

It was good!
