A Gory Photograph !

I found this male sparrowhawk devouring a pigeon in our Audlem garden. He was so unconcerned by my presence that I was able to go back into the house to get my camera and then take many photographs from only about three metres away. I eventually left him to finish his meal. All that was visible later were the pigeon's legs and claws. A male sparrowhawk, I'm presuming to be the same one, has since made other successful hunting trips to the garden.
