Good news about The Bridge

It appears that Marston's Brewery are intending to re-open The Bridge Inn as a public house in the not too distant future.

Audlem Online has heard this from Peter and Chris Silvester who run the Audlem Mill shop just down the road from The Bridge which has now been closed since before Christmas. Marston's have apparently put in a planning application for a conservatory and raised platform at the pub and have informed the Silvesters of this as they are near neighbours.

Chris and Peter Silvester comment: "Importantly, this application seems to confirm that Marston's are on course to re-open The Bridge Inn in due course as a pub, as most people have hoped that they would. This must be good for tourism and employment in Audlem, and perhaps continues to allay any fears that yet another business might close forever."
