A good customer of the Co-op Bank who lives in Audlem has had a protracted correspondence with the bank about the fact that Gladman use their facilities and challenging whether this is in line with the Bank's stated Ethical Policy.

Shown here (click on the picture to enlarge it) is the final response from the Co-op Bank.

Our correspondent says that, whilst he finds it not entirely satisfactory as they do not go into specific commitments to challenge or investigate, it does give him some comfort in that they say they will continue to review Gladman's activities.

He concludes

"I am not sure how to respond to this. I may well pull my business, as I am far from satisfied.

"If I don't pull the account completely, I think I may at the very least reduce my various account balances to zero to show I mean business...

"Other clients could contact the bank and do the same."
