Gavin Retires

I write to report that , after 20 years of loyal service to this fine village, Gavin is retiring .

Many of you may not know his name, but Gavin — has , without fuss or bravado ,taken upon him self to keep our streets, lanes and open spaces clear of litter and detritus . So much so that we are recognised as one of the cleanest and tidiest communities in Chesire . With his wheeled truck and his trusty litter grabber , Gavin is out ensuring all is clear,especially after all the special events here .

We , the council — his employers on your behalf, wish him the very best for the future and the many hours he and his lady will enjoy in their camper van .

Gavin stops work on the last day of April .
