Gavin Davies Retires

This man . This wonderful man . Winner of the ADAS person of the year some years ago. Who has kept the village clear of litter and discarded rubbish for the past 20 years. Maintaining a truly clean village fir all to enjoy. He has coped with all the Arts and Music Festivals we have held in these 20 years. All the Proms on the Park and the newer Party on the Park. The 20 years or more of the Festival of Transport.

Quietly. Efficiently. And all done in his own colourful way .

Now. Gavin is stepping down and will retire at the end of the month .

On behalf of the Parish Council and I am sure of all who live here, we wish him and his family many happy days as they get to use their camper van more and more.

Further to your article on Gavin retiring. As he has done excellent work in the village often perhaps more than he should have, he is always cheerful and ready to chat I thought perhaps it would be appropriate if the village gave him something. I had a word with Judy (Williams the newsagent) she likewise thought that a good idea and has said she would be willing to collect donations in the shop.
