Gavin Davies' Presentation

Thanks to the generosity of the people of Audlem we were able to make a presentation to Gavin of £711.70. He was also presented with a gift of 'The Golden Broom' courtesy of Judy at Williams the newsagents.

He was also handed a card to mark his retirement which contained the following message.

Dear Gavin,

"Your work in keeping the roads, car park and towpath, over many years, clean and tidy has been much appreciated. It has certainly helped to make Audlem an attractive village to visit.

Your cheery wave, smile and chat will be sorely missed.

The villagers, the medical practice and the traders wish you a long and happy retirement.

Best wishes from all"

May I thank all the donors for their generosity which far exceeded my expectations but goes to show how much Gavin was appreciated for his work in the village. Thanks also to Judy for acting as the collection point.
