Do you live in Audlem? Is your garden something to be proud of? Do you want to win garden vouchers worth £40 or £60? If the answer to these questions is "yes" then read on.

This year the Cheshire is celebrating its garden heritage which plays such an important part of the Cheshire landscape, and the role of the private garden has not been forgotten. Cheshire Community Council is sponsoring a garden competition as part of Cheshire's Community Pride Competition. Garden vouchers worth £40 will be awarded to the winner in each District and a garden voucher worth £60 awarded to the overall County winner.

The rules are simple:

• The garden should be visible from the road and not hidden by a tall hedge or fence.

• It should present an appearance of continuous care, and should not wholly consist of bedding plants with a bare look in winter.

• A photograph of the garden must be enclosed, which will not necessarily present the appearance of the garden when judged in the summer.

• Permission to enter the competition and photograph the garden must be gained from the owner.

To nominate a garden take a photo of the garden in question and contact Mike Hill (Chair of ADAS) on 811843 – but hurry, the closing date for entries is the end of April!
