Just an update for you if I may. The event now well and truly over. The stage so well built by Pete Webb of 5A's theatre group all dismantled and now in storage – thanks again to the gift of transport from Andy McClintoch of Audlem Services.
Just the shadowy trace left as an imprint on the back lawn – see photo. Sadly not used to the full as the 20 Irish Dancers had to be cancelled and the young children of Stapeley Choir too. Far too wet as the heavens bucketed down on all of us.
But I am delighted to report that the amount raised for this so noble cause has now climbed as folks have stopped me in the streets to give more to us.
We now see close on £900 and that is so rewarding for all the efforts that May Hunter put in before she so sadly died. On behalf of May and myself, a big thank you to all.
Perhaps another next year to keep her memory alive. Who knows what is around the corner.
