Readers may be interested to hear of the opening of a new Garden Nursery at Hungers Heath, just over the border in Shropshire.

Owner, Jonathan Turley, says "I am delighted to be opening at Hungers Heath Farm. Being able to grow and sell plants in a sustainable way, using alternatives to Peat, and the harsh garden Chemicals that many garden centres sell is really rewarding. I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with customers, and helping to inspire them to create beautiful gardens that they can enjoy relaxing in, but also engage with nature."

According to their website, the focus of the nursery is on hardy perennials and a selection of shrubs, many of which are grown on site and selected for their suitability for the British climate, whilst it also offers a range or gardening supplies.

The nursery is based at the popular Hungers Heath Fruit Farm which, as well as offering pick-your-own fruit also has a Tea Room and Farm Shop.

Hungers Heath Fruit Farm is located between the A51 and A53, south of Woore, near the junction by the Swan with Two Necks.
