Unfortunately, the roadworks don't come over the Cheshire border, they are just between Candle Lane, Woore and the border with Cheshire.
Details are on the Shropshire website, although they take a bit of finding.
The diversion given is, from Audlem, via the road to Market Drayton and the A53 (E) towards Loggerheads and up to the junction with the A51, then back up to Woore – quite a sizeable detour!
To go further afield eastwards, you could take the road via Baldwins Gate to Newcastle or the M6
So this appears to be Shropshire mending the road, not Cheshire East – even so is it too much to hope that the latter might take the opportunity of a significant reduction of traffic on the A525 to do something about the pavement in front of the Post Office?
