Funeral donations query

AudlemOnline received the following query about donations related to Berni Cliffe's funeral:

"Could you please advise as to whether donations to St Luke's are to be made via. the funeral directors? I raise this point as perhaps it would be preferable if they were, so that her family could be made aware of the total raised which in turn, may be of some comfort to them. Just a thought,

Our correspondent adds: "I think that if the donors provide their name and an address, if they are UK tax-payers, the charity can claim an extra 25%.

We have checked and yes, any donations should be made via Nantwich Funeral Services, that is Graham Tressider's. They have three offices:
