There's an opportunity to check out the value of that painting you've always had in the family or your favourite china figure, for example, at a free antique valuation day taking place today at the Lord Combermere. It's organised by Churchside Antiques of Nantwich and runs from 11.00am until 4.00pm.
You are invited to bring any amount of items for identification and valuation including medals, coins, watches, jewellery, pottery, paintings, old books, postcards etc. And your valuation will all take place without the BBC's Antiques Roadshow's cameras recording your delight or despair at the valuation!
There will be collecting boxes for Macmillan Cancer and the Alzheimer's Society. So, particularly if you find you've owned a Rembrandt for years without knowing it, you could also help a good cause.
