As we announced on Audlem Online on Thursday, we plan to run a series of stories on our local businesses. These can be shops, pubs, cafes or one of the many other businesses run in the village and surrounding area which is likely to be of interest to local readers.
If you have a business you would like featured in this series, please send copy, and perhaps a photograph, to editor@audlem.org">editor@audlem.org
While Audlem has seen many new retail businesses opening in recent weeks, we start with the longest established shop in the village.
Established in 1862 by the forbearers of the present owners, they are committed to providing a wide range of goods and services that they hope will help you in your efforts to leave the car at home.
So, please do call in and see their range of Christmas gifts, calendars and cards on offer.
They also have a range of other Audlem and Cheshire related products including the Audlem tea towel designed by local artist Jo Halden – (it's the ideal present for men) – and perfect for posting too.
They are stockists for the cutest cuddly toys on the market, Jelly cat suitable for most adults........ as well as children!
And if they don't have it, they will always do their best to get it.
As newsagents, they could save you money on your daily newspapers – they have details of money saving offers for subscriptions on many of the more expensive daily papers. They also offer a delivery and shop collect service within the village that includes the full Christmas period – including Boxing Day and New Year's Day, when many other newsagents are shut.
