Two very special visitors were spotted at the Festival yesterday – Paul and Clare Moran.

As Festival fans will know, it was Paul who kicked off the whole idea fourteen years ago. He brought stars like Gino Washington and Ruby Turner to Audlem before moving back to Manchester.

He told AudlemOnline that they'd come back for the first time in four years to see how the Festival team were looking after everything.

Judging by the broad grin on Paul's face as he saw the massive crowds and the Festival line-up, he was more than chuffed with the way his creation has been developed by the Festival team of today.

A big welcome back, Paul and Clare, your names live on in Audlem. You definitely left your mark on the village.

And talking of Audlem people who left their mark, Winston Rogers was seen in the crowds yesterday. As Raft Race fans in the 1980s will recall, Winston was the star attraction year after year.

Could he be thinking of a revival of a long-gone event after seeing the success of the Festival. Now there's a thought!
