Football challenge to Audlem FC

I can report that a challenge has been put at the foot of the Audlem FC. This is a challenge from some 18/20 young women to a match!

The team – they have named it Ball Busters F. C. – have a manager and a coach. They will play in the green kit but perhaps to use their own better fitting shorts.

This is serious challenge and a referee – as impartial as possible – will officiate. The game will be played at the earliest at the end of June, but could be later, depending upon the turfing being undertaken to improve the playing area.

The men have all welcomed the plan and will play in the hope of winning . We will play to roll-on roll-off subs for the women, but normal subs for the men.

Will keep you posted as the days pass by. All are to get sponsorship, with the collection being donated to a local charity – still to be decided upon.
