Food for Thought

To complement the Audlem Beer Festival this coming weekend, the ADAPT Food Group are holding two events under the Buttermarket.

On Saturday from 10.00a.m – 12noon will be a two hour sale of home produce. This includes Vegetables, Fruit, Plants and other items grown and made by Audlem folk.

If you have any such produce you are welcome to bring it along (also bring your own table).

There will also be a display of photos and Memorabilia of past Audlem Produce Shows.

On Bank Holiday Monday, from 1.00pm – 4.00pm, members of the Food Group will be displaying and providing information about the following:

• Apples- a display of different varieties and their particular attributes


• Basils – a number of different varieties will be available for you to see, sniff and taste


• Salads – what can be grown, even in the smallest space.


• Chutneys Galore – like the beers on offer over the weekend, there will be a selection of at least 12 delicious Chutneys for you to sample. These will not be for sale but may inspire you to make some yourself. Free recipes will be available.
