This has probably been resolved by now, but the picture from Val is worth seeing!

AudlemOnline has received a report

"There is a serious water leak in Buerton, flooding the road after Chapel end, round the bends.
The leak is by Windmill Lane, in the road, making a large and deep pothole around it. I've reported it to United Utilities but people need to know that the flood is unexpectedly deep and, at 7:45am today, was still being increased by the amount of water pouring out of the ruptured pipe."

A later report says

"The burst is on the junction of Woore Road and Windmill Lane, leaving a half-carriageway flood opposite, which is then flowing down the Woore Road towards Audlem, causing the photographed flood around the corner, outside Rose Cottage on the Woore Road. Utilities were working on it 2/3 hours ago so probably sorted by now."

And then at 8pm this evening

As of 20:00 Wednesday evening, whan I retuirned home, the flood has subsided, 3-way traffic lights are installed at the junction with Windmill Lane in Buerton and repair works to the water main seem to have begun.

We will update this when we receive any more information.
