pau run and ride

Audlem has always been known for its active and well-supported sports clubs -Cricket Club, Bowls Club, Tennis Club and Football Club as well as the Rambling Society and the Running Group.

Indoors we have an indoor bowls club, a ladies tabletennis group, a badminton club and several yoga and pilates classes.

Since the Public Hall Annexe was built more than five hundred individuals have taken part at one time or another in the Community Gym.

Boys and girls regularly enjoy football training sessions.

More recently sessions have been started for "walking" netball and "walking" football and most recently some football training sessions for the under-5s.

We are promised professionally organised circuit training sessions soon to be available in the Town Hall.

So all in all Audlem should boast the fittest set of residents in Cheshire.

(And if all this is not energetic enough for you, there are two bridge clubs and a fortnightly bingo session – and they say that Probus can get pretty lively on occasion)

Orienteering

And now PAU, the run & ride shop in the village, have set up a couple of orienteering challenges to help to lose all those extra pounds gained from Christmas excesses – there are two versions of the course, one of 3.5 km and the other of 9km. Both start from the PAU shop in the village square, where you will be given your first OS grid reference to find, which is where the next control marker is located, and so on round the course.

These controls and markers will be in place until January 9th.

So just call in at the shop and start orienteering.
