Michael Thompson, Community First Responder Team Leader for the Audlem and district team, and Helen Marsden CFR, were selected to train as North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) CFR Field trainers.

Having successfully completed the training at NWAS HQ, they are now qualified to train groups and individuals in Basic Life Support skills. With the help of Andy Ruscoe Icke, one of the founder CFRs, Michael will begin training Audlem Fire Cadets in First Aid and Basic Life Support in the coming weeks.

There are now nine volunteers in the local First Responder team and we hope to have a new photograph of the team shortly.
